What if a menu wasn’t inspired by a color palette, but became one?
For this year’s POP of Color Summer Mixer at Collier Hall, Proof of the Pudding embraced the idea that life is better in technicolor, transforming a summer gathering into an immersive celebration where every bite, sip, and detail reflected the vibrant energy of the season.
Guests entered a world awash in bold hues, from the colorful welcome experience to vibrant sips and chef-crafted dishes designed to be just as visually striking as they were flavorful. The menu became the centerpiece, with each culinary creation showcasing its own “pop” of color. Bright green Chimichurri Skewers topped with pickled onions, Avocado Goat Cheese Crostinis finished with edible violas, blush-pink Strawberry Mint Lassis, refreshing Mango Lime Lassis, golden Coconut Saffron Chicken Lollipops, and jewel-toned crudo transformed the buffet into an edible art installation.
The experience continued with globally inspired stations that encouraged guests to explore, mingle, and discover. Southern comfort met modern presentation, vibrant Indian flavors shared the spotlight with pristine seafood, and an interactive Pavlova Bar invited guests to finish the evening with colorful confections built just the way they liked them.
More than a summer mixer, POP of Color showcased how thoughtful hospitality can tell a story. Every plate, garnish, and detail was intentionally designed to surprise, delight, and spark conversation, proving that the most memorable events don’t simply use color. They live in it.
