The City of Douglasville celebrated the grand re-opening of the Douglasville Conference Center with an event that showcased the venue’s refreshed look, flexible layout, and welcoming energy. A Culinary Experience Across the Venue

The celebration began with passed appetizers including Baja street corn, bacon-wrapped dates, grilled cheese bites, and lamb lollipops, paired with a generous charcuterie display and shrimp cocktail shooters. Inside the ballroom, guests enjoyed a Southern-inspired buffet with pulled chicken, beef brisket, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and jalapeño cornbread madeleines.

Gourmet sliders rounded out the main offerings, with Angus beef, buffalo chicken, and plant-based options that gave guests something familiar with a creative Proof touch.

Interactive Stations + Sweet Finishes

The venue’s breakout rooms became part of the experience through globally inspired stations. One room featured Latin American flavors with empanadas and tacos, while another offered Asian-inspired selections like dim sum, tuna poke, spring rolls, and crispy chicken bites. These station-style moments helped guests experience the full flow and flexibility of the Conference Center.

Dessert added another layer of fun, with assorted cheesecakes, baby cakes, waffle pops, and a cobbler bar, followed by a patio s’mores setup and a mocktail experience. A signature pomegranate spritz welcomed guests and helped set a festive tone from the start.
