This Celebrating Our People feature is a little different than usual, as we are also welcoming a new team member.
With Executive Chef Howard Garnel taking a new role at Proof as a travel chef, we brought on Jenn Moniz as the Executive Chef of Off-Premise Catering.
Chef Jenn has already had a tremendous impact on our team in her short time with us, so we wanted to share a little bit about our newest superstar.
What led you to this career?
I started cooking professionally right after high school. It wasn’t until I met Chef John that “dared me to be great” that I decided to make my passion for cooking career.
What’s your favorite aspect of working in Food & Beverage?
I truly value the relationships that are built with coworkers. I love the family-like culture.
What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Motivated, passionate, silly.
If you were a food item, what kind of food would you be? Why?
Tofu. Tofu can literally adapt to any flavor profile or cooking method thrown at it.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love to travel, I love to dine out, and I love to spend time at home with my spouse and dogs.

I speak Portuguese fluently and Spanish moderately. I’m originally from Massachusetts.
